Situation
A designer who sews lingerie by hand came with one product photo — taken on a white physical mannequin. Every set includes custom embroidery, lace, and hardware details that need to be visible and trustworthy to a buyer. The mannequin was showing through, and the background was imperfect. The product deserved better.
Solution
Using the original photo as reference, I created the ghost mannequin (invisible mannequin) effect via AI — the lingerie appears worn on an invisible body. Volume, fit, and every embroidery detail are preserved and visible. Working with delicate lingerie in AI tools is technically demanding: fabric transparency, lace structure, and fine hardware require multiple precise iterations to get right.
Result
A clean, professional product image where the construction and design quality of the handmade piece speak for themselves — without a model, studio, or retoucher.
